In his childhood Misha had a great opportunity to be at the Vladimir Visotsky’s concert in Odessa. Being very impressed by his performing, Misha started listening to the V. Visotskyi’s songs and watching movies with his part with a great interest. On the 25th of July 1980 it was announced that Vladimir Visotskyi died, it was a great loss for many people including Michail Gritskan, he was devastated. When Michail was performing V. Visotskyi’s song “Fastidious horses”, his friends suddenly noticed the similarity between Michail’s and V. Visotsky’s tones and styles of performing. Today Michail, with a great pleasure, performs this song during his concerts.
Annually, since 1985, Michail comes to visit Vladimir Visotskyi’s grave either on the 25th of January (his birthday) or 25th of July (the day of his death). Michail goes there to honor the memory of V. Visotskyi, sing his songs…….and meet his close friend Nikita, the son of Vladimir Visotskyi.
V. Visotkyi’s creative work had a great impact on Michail’s life and inspired him to become an artist.
